Right now the “weeks of happiness”, offering a diverse programme on different topics aligned with happiness and luck, are taking place in our region. Last week Gabriele Grandl guided us to outstanding places, each special in its own definition.
On monday I had the spontaneous chance of joining the group for one day. Despite the heat we started with an introduction in an open field on the “Fröhlichberg” and headed off for the burdensome ascend to the “Damischen Kathel“. Our reward was a incredible amount of creative and lively energy. Our track lead us on to the Huberhof near Riegersburg and from there to an optically nondescript cluster of trees on a hilltop near Lichtenstern. A wonderful place for the heart and inviting to stay.
In the afternoon we tried to sense and feel nature around the Saazkogel chapel and an easy to reach spring in its surroundings. The smooth flow of water animated us to go a little further and we spend the remainder of the day at the cross point between the three communities Gnas, Paldau und Gniebing-Weißenbach. From there one has a wonderful view and it is a good place to rethink all the experiences of the day. The number of new insights gained makes me think of the day as a present to myself. Small hint from my side: the next chance to feel nature on a guided afternoon is on July 1. We spend three hours (16 – 19 o’clock) around the Ertler mill at the river Raab.
